    The basics

    • Additional cardholders. The first 2 supplementary cards on the American Express CapitaCard are free. Additional supplementary cards are possible, but for $86.40 each.
    • Digital wallets. This card is compatible with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
    • Gambling transactions. American Express does not permit gambling transactions with this card.

    Rewards and benefits

    • Complimentary travel insurance. The Amex CapitaCard Card does not provide complimentary international travel insurance coverage.
    • Concierge services. Cardholders can access a 24/7 concierge service for making reservations, booking travel, delivering gifts, finding the best prices, and more.
    • Insurances. Cardholders get fraud protection, but there aren't any other insurance policies.
    • Rewards points. Earn up to 6X STAR$ with up to 3% rebates when spending at participating merchants in CapitalLand Malls. You can earn 1X STAR$ with every $1 spent anywhere, anytime. Balance transfers and cash advances are not eligible transactions for earning points.
    • Sign up bonus. Enjoy 3 hours of complimentary parking across CapitaLand Malls with $1,200 eligible spend each calendar month. $1,800 eligible spend gets you complimentary privileged parking subject to terms and conditions.

    Rates and fees

    • Annual fee. The current welcome offer includes a first-year fee waiver. The ongoing annual fee for this card is $172.80.
    • Balance transfers. This card does not offer a balance transfer offer, as is typical for Amex.
    • Cash advances. Cash advances will be subject to a 26.90% p.a. interest, which accrues from the transaction date. Additionally, cash advances are subject to a one-off 5% fee, making them an expensive way to get money.
    • Foreign exchange fee. All transactions made in a foreign currency will incur a 2.95% fee.
    • Interest-free period. Offers up to 22 days interest-free on all purchases except cash advances. To qualify for this period, you must pay the balance in full or make the minimum required payments.
    • Purchases. All purchases will be charged interest at 26.90% p.a. This rate is average for a credit card in Singapore.
