    The basics

    • Additional cardholders. You can add up to 1 additional cardholder for $12 p.a. The primary cardholder is responsible for managing the account and repayments. BNZ Points will accrue under the primary cardholder's account.
    • Digital wallets. This card supports Apple Pay and Google Pay.
    • Gambling transactions. Gambling transactions are classified as cash advances and will accrue interest accordingly.

    Rewards and benefits

    • Complimentary travel insurance. The BNZ Advantage Classic Credit Card does not provide complimentary international travel insurance.
    • Concierge services. Cardholders do not have access to the BNZ credit card concierge service.
    • Insurances. This card does not come with any insurance benefits.
    • Rewards points. BNZ Advantage Classic Credit Card cardholders can choose which reward they prefer: 1 Flybuys point for every $40 spent on eligible purchases, or earn 1 BNZ Point per $1 spent on eligible purchases. Cash advances and balance transfers are not eligible transactions for earning points. BNZ Points can be transferred to British Airways Executive Club, Emirates Skywards, Etihad Guest, Flybuys, Qantas Frequent Flyer, Qatar Privilege Club, and United MileagePlus. They can also be transferred to Accor Live Limitless, IHG One Rewards, and Wyndham Rewards. Having a range of transfer partners like this makes it much easier to maximise the redemption value by booking expensive flights and upgrades.
    • Sign up bonus. There is no sign up bonus for this card at this time.

    Rates and fees

    • Annual fee. This card has an annual fee of $40 p.a. This is reasonable for a credit card that earns rewards.
    • Balance transfers. This credit card does not have a balance transfer offer.
    • Cash advances. Cash advances incur interest at 22.95% p.a., charged immediately from the day of the transaction. BNZ also charges a one-off fee to process cash advances.
    • Foreign exchange fee. Any purchases made overseas or online with an overseas store will incur a 2.25% foreign exchange fee.
    • Interest-free period. Offers up to 55 days of interest-free on purchases (except cash advances) when you pay the balance in full by the due date or make at least the minimum required payment.
    • Purchases. There is no introductory offer on purchases. The ongoing purchase rate is 20.95% p.a. This rate is typical of a rewards credit card.
