The basics

  • Additional cardholders. This card allows up to 4 additional cardholders for free and share the account with family members. The primary cardholder manages the account and makes any necessary repayments. Points will accrue under the primary cardholder, even if rewards were earned from spending on an additional card.
  • Digital wallets. This card can be used with Apple Pay.
  • Gambling transactions. The cash advance rate and fee will apply to gambling-related transactions.

Rewards and benefits

  • Complimentary travel insurance. Despite it being aimed at the traveller, the Flight Centre Mastercard does not offer complimentary international travel insurance.
  • Concierge services. No concierge service is available for cardholders.
  • Insurances. This card does not come with any insurance coverage, for example, smartphone screen repair or refund protection.
  • Rewards points. Earn 1.50 Flight Centre Rewards per $100 spent on eligible purchases. Cash advances, balance transfers, and payments to government organisations are not eligible transactions for earning points. Transactions classified as cash equivalent — e.g. funding a money transfer or buying traveller's cheques — will not earn points either. Flight Centre Rewards can be redeemed on any airline, hotel, tour, cruise, car hire, or sightseeing deal booked directly through Flight Centre.
  • Sign up bonus. There is no sign up bonus on this card at the moment.

Rates and fees

  • Annual fee. The annual fee for this card is $50 p.a. This is about the average for a rewards credit card.
  • Balance transfers. The Flight Centre Mastercard does not offer an introductory balance transfer option.
  • Cash advances. Cash advances processed with this card will be charged the interest rate of 24.95% p.a. immediately. There are no interest-free days. In addition to interest, there is a one-off a fee.
  • Foreign exchange fee. This card does not charge any fees for foreign transactions. use the card to shop while travelling overseas or on overseas stores and marketplaces with no international transaction fees.
  • Interest-free period. Get up to 44 days interest-free on eligible purchases. This is provided you have paid off your previous balance or made the minimum required payments. Other cards have longer interest-free periods.
  • Purchases. With no introductory offer, purchases made with the card will incur interest at 22.95% p.a. Although high, this rate is similar to other rewards credit cards.
