  • Digital wallets. This card supports Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Gambling transactions. Gambling-related transactions are not blocked. Kiwibank will treat them as cash advances, applying the cash advance rate and fee accordingly.

Rewards and benefits

  • Complimentary travel insurance. The Kiwibank Air New Zealand Airpoints Low Fee Visa Credit Card does not come with complimentary international travel insurance.
  • Concierge services. This card does not come with access to a concierge service.
  • Insurances. This card does not come with any form of insurance, which is unsurprising given it's a value card.
  • Rewards points. Earn 1 Airpoints Dollar per $200 spent on eligible purchases. Balance transfers and cash advances are not eligible transactions for earning points.
  • Sign up bonus. Kiwibank is not running a sign up bonus on this card for new customers.

Rates and fees

  • Annual fee. This card comes with an ongoing annual fee of $50 p.a. (payable in two instalments of $25 every six months).
  • Balance transfers. Use the introductory balance transfer offer of 1.99% p.a. for 6 months to consolidate debt from non-Kiwibank credit and store cards. After the promotional period, the standard interest rate of 16.90% p.a. will apply.
  • Cash advances. It's 16.90% p.a. on cash advances, with interest accruing immediately from the transaction date. Cash advances made with this card will incur a one-off fee of $0.90 per transaction if done in New Zealand, and $6 per transaction if overseas. Overall, cash advances with this card are cheaper than the market average.
  • Foreign exchange fee. A 1.85% foreign transaction fee will be charged for purchases made online or overseas in a foreign currency.
  • Interest-free period. This card offers up to 44 days interest-free on purchases except for cash advances when you pay your balance in full or make the minimum required payment by the due date.
  • Purchases. There is no introductory offer on purchases. Purchases made with this card will be charged interest at 16.90% p.a.
