Rates and fees

  • Annual fee. Westpac charges an annual fee of $310 p.a. This must be paid in advance with 2 biannual instalments of $155.
  • Balance transfers. Consolidate non-Westpac credit and store card debt at 5.95% p.a. for life.
  • Cash advances. It's 22.95% p.a. for cash advances (and cash equivalent transactions) Interest will accrue immediately with no interest-free period. A one-off cash advance fee will be charged too. All-in-all, this is fairly typical of most rewards credit cards.
  • Foreign exchange fee. There is a 1.95% foreign exchange fee for purchases made in a foreign currency, either overseas or online.
  • Interest-free period. Get up to 44 days interest-free on purchases (excluding cash advances) when you have paid your previous balance in full by the due date.
  • Purchases. Since there is no introductory offer on purchases, the ongoing rate of 16.95% p.a. for purchases will apply to any balance carried over to the next statement. That rate is lower than what most rewards cards charge.
