American Express Business Explorer Credit Card

The basics

• Additional cardholders. Add up to 99 additional cardholders for employees at no additional cost.
• Digital wallets. This card can be used with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
• Gambling transactions. Gambling transactions are not permitted on this card (or any other Amex card).

Rewards and benefits

• Complimentary travel insurance. Cardholders have access to complimentary domestic and international travel insurance covering themselves, their partner, and Card Member employees. The policy is active when the card has been used to pay for trips that start and end in Australia.
• Concierge services. This card gives cardholders access to the American Express concierge service, available 24 / 7 for help with things like travel recommendations, booking travel or reservations, gift ideas, etc.
• Lounge access. Card Members have access to The Centurion® Lounge in Sydney and Melbourne two times each year. Complimentary access for children traveling with the Card Member.
• Rewards points. This credit card earns 2 Membership Rewards Gateway points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases.
• Sign-up bonus. There is no ongoing sign-up bonus offer on the American Express Business Explorer Credit Card as of the moment.

Rates and fees

• Annual fee. Enjoy $0 Annual Card Fee in the first year. After the promotional period, it reverts to $149 p.a.
• Balance transfers. There is no balance transfer offer for this card.
• Cash advances. Cash advances are not possible with the Business Explorer Credit Card.
• Foreign exchange fee. You will be charged 3% when you make transactions in a foreign currency while overseas or while shopping online at an overseas website.
• Interest-free period. Get up to 55 days interest-free on purchases when you have paid your previous balance in full or made the minimum required payment.
• Purchases. There is no special purchase rate offer on the American Express Business Explorer Credit Card at the moment. The standard rate of 23.99% p.a. will apply to purchases.
• Sign-up bonus. 75,000 Bonus Membership Rewards Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 in eligible purchases on the card in your first 3 months. New American Express Card Members only.
