    The basics

    • Additional cardholders. You can add one additional cardholder for free, with no initial or ongoing fees. This allows you to share the account with a family member, although the primary cardholder is responsible for managing the account.
    • Digital wallets. Compatible with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.
    • Gambling transactions. South West Credit Union treats gambling-related transactions as a cash advance.

    Rewards and benefits

    • Complimentary travel insurance. This card does not come with complimentary international travel insurance cover.
    • Concierge services. There is no concierge service available.
    • Insurances. This card offers fraud protection but does not include extended warranty insurance, price protection insurance, purchase protection insurance, transport accident insurance, or repayment insurance.
    • Rewards points. This credit card does not have a rewards program.
    • Sign up bonus. South West Credit Union do not offer any sign up bonus for new customers.

    Rates and fees

    • Annual fee. There is a low ongoing annual fee of $30 p.a.
    • Balance transfers. This card does not have a balance transfer offer, which is common for a credit card issued by a credit union.
    • Cash advances. Any transaction classed as a cash advance will be charged an interest rate of 13.45% p.a. from the transaction date. There will be a one-off fee in addition. Although it isn't the lowest cash advance rate possible, it is still lower than the rate many of the larger banks charge.
    • Foreign exchange fee. There is a 1.5% fee for purchases made in foreign currencies either overseas or online. This is competitively low, although it is possible to get free foreign transactions on some other cards.
    • Interest-free period. Get up to 55 days interest-free on purchases when you make the minimum required payment or pay your balance in full before the due date.
    • Purchases. There is currently no introductory offer. All purchases made will attract interest at the rate of 13.45% p.a. This rate is not the cheapest, but it is lower than what's on offer with many of the bigger banks.
