    Rates and fees

    • Annual fee. The annual fee for this card is $39 per year.

    • Cash advances. Bank of us Visa Credit Card offers a low cash advance rate of 9.99% p.a., with interest starting to accrue immediately from the transaction date. Bank of us will charge a fee of 5% on any cash advances made with this card, in addition to the interest rate. Although the cash advance rate is low, the one-off fee is higher than average.
    • Foreign exchange fee. All purchases made overseas or online in a foreign currency will incur a 2.5% fee.
    • Interest-free period. Get up to 58 days interest-free on purchases, excluding cash advances, when you pay off your account balance or make the minimum required payment by the due date.
    • Purchases. There is currently no introductory offer on purchases, so any purchases that are not paid off and carried over will be charged interest at the rate of 9.99% p.a. This is a competitive ongoing rate.

    Good basic card

    Reviewed by Patti

I just needed a cheap basic card to get me by when finished paying off my home loan. It has no yearly fee, which is great. On the down side there are no rewards, so I do miss that a bit.

I would recommend it to people starting out. Also has 55 interest-free days.

Basic credit card, basic stuff, nothing special

If I could have a card with more functionally than this, it would be great. It’s very basic stuff and the card’s not accepted in all stores. Online buying is also very limited. Overseas purchases are often declined because the bank is not recognised in other countries. It’s not to say that they are not handy, but not always needed.
