Earning points with credit cards is simple

Ways to earn Velocity points with a credit card

Get a frequent flyer credit card

You can earn points per dollar spent with a Velocity credit card. Banks typically offer thousands of Velocity points as a bonus for signing up and completing a spend target within a certain period of time.

Shop online via the Velocity eStore

Log into the eStore, find the merchant you want to buy from, and click out. Velocity will track the order, assuming you followed the instructions and don't have an ad blocker running. Shopping via the eStore does add another step, but it's a relatively easy way to earn a lot of points, especially if you have an upcoming large transaction. Participating merchants include Myer, Kogan, Catch, The Iconic, Apple, Menulog, and Petbarn.

When you link your velocity credit card with your PayPal account, you can earn points if you need to pay a company or someone that does not accept credit cards.

Pay rent with your Velocity credit card

You can use a third-party intermediary payment processing service such as Rental Rewards to pay your rent with your credit card. Find out more about how this works in this guide.

Pay your utility bills with your Velocity credit card

Set up your utility bill payments (e.g. phone, broadband, gas, electricity) to be charged to your credit card.

Buy Velocity points

You can buy up to 250,000 Velocity points per calendar year directly from Velocity Frequent Flyer with Velocity points boosters.

Transfer points from Membership Rewards to Velocity Frequent Flyer

If you have an American Express credit card that earns Membership Rewards points, Velocity will offer a transfer bonus every few months. The bonus varies, but if you take advantage you can get significantly more points simply by transferring them.
