The basics

  • Additional cardholders. This card is designed for personal use. Additional cardholders cannot be added.
  • Credit limit. Credit limits range from a minimum of $1,000 up to a maximum of $3,000, which is more than some of the competing no-interest credit cards on the market. You can request to change the limit after approval.
  • Digital wallets. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay are all compatible with this card.
  • Gambling transactions. It is not possible to pay for gambling with this card.
  • Repayments. The minimum monthly repayment amount is fixed and depends on the credit limit.

Rewards and benefits

  • Complimentary travel insurance. There are no complimentary insurances at all included with this card.
  • Concierge services. Cardholders will not get access to the NAB Concierge Service, which is to be expected on a no-frills card such as this.
  • Lounge access. NAB StraightUp Credit Card holders won't be able to use their cards to get into airport lounges.
  • Rewards points. As expected, you won't be able to earn credit card rewards.

Rates and fees

  • Annual fee. There is no annual fee. However, there is a monthly fee that is set based on your credit limit. The monthly fee will not be charged if you didn't use the card and had a $0 balance during the entire statement period.
  • Balance transfers. You can't make a balance transfer using this card. There are plenty of balance transfer offers available if that's what you want.
  • Cash advances. Cash advances are blocked for all NAB StraightUp cardholders.
  • Foreign exchange fee. Shop online or overseas and pay in a foreign currency without having to pay a foreign currency fee.
  • Interest-free period. This is one of the new breed of credit cards with no interest released to take on buy now pay later. Since interest is not charged, there is also no interest-free period.
  • Late payment fee. Although paying late is worth avoiding, no fees are charged if your payment arrives after the due date.
  • Purchases. There is a monthly fee instead of interest on purchases.
  • Sign-up bonus. NAB has no sign-up bonus on the StraightUp Credit Card.
