Mornings
Mornings are very important to Tim Ferriss, though he gets up rather late, starting the day at 10 am.
Every morning starts with 20 minutes of transcendental meditation. He has a high-protein breakfast and a hot cup of tea or coffee to kickstart the day.
He sorts his tasks according to the day of the week, so every day will be a little different.
He does a couple of 45 minutes of physical workouts each week. Most of the exercise is in the form of acro yoga with his girlfriend. He also loves rock climbing.
Ferris avoids phone calls on Mondays and Fridays. On Monday, he prepares for the week, prioritizing to-do items and setting a schedule for the rest of the week.
Afternoons
Ferris has lunch at around 12.30 pm. His typical lunch will include organic beef and a selection of vegetables. He says he eats almost the same thing each day.
He sets the afternoon aside for specific tasks like writing. He doesn't like multi-tasking and always plans different blocks of work, concentrating on one thing at a time.
His afternoon ends with a light meal at 5.30 pm.
Evenings
Ferris relaxes in the evening. This may include some Jiu-jitsu training. He has a large evening meal at 9 pm.
At 10 pm, he takes an ice bath or shower, after which he socializes with friends over a glass of wine or settles in with a book. He goes to bed at around 2 am (hence the late start).
