Born on October 8, 1970, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Matthew Paige Damon is the son of Kent Damon and Nancy Carlsson-Paige. His mother was a professor, and his father a stockbroker. His parents divorced when Matt was two, and he grew up with his brother in Cambridge, where his mother raised the boys. Damon is also childhood friends with Hollywood A-lister Ben Affleck.
