Inside a day in the life of Gal Gadot
Key takeaways
- Gadot uses the Headspace app for meditation and prioritizes getting enough quality sleep in her daily routine.
- Her Mediterranean diet is based on lean protein, complex carbs, and a lot of vegetables in her meals.
- She is fiercely protective of her exercise, diet, and beauty routine.
Mornings
Gadot says in an interview with Shape, "It's funny how the people who could really benefit from meditation are often the ones who can't find the time to do it." However, she discovered the Headspace app. "It's quick, it's easy to use, and it really helps me feel present," says the "Wonder Woman" star. "That and getting enough quality sleep are the keys for me." After her morning workout, Gadot fuels with two eggs, toast, and a salad, which keeps her full until lunchtime.
The actor says, "I like to do interval training, and I'm super grateful that I can do those workouts in my gym at home. I try to get to it every day, but sometimes it's more like three to four times a week. It's been a bit challenging to carve out the time with the family at home."
Afternoons
For lunch, Gal pairs a lean protein with a complex carb like sweet potato, plus a ton of veggies. Gadot will usually snack on dates or yogurt with green apples, and this combo of protein, complex carbs, and fiber helps keep her satisfied until dinnertime.
Afternoons are a heady mix of business meetings and shoots on set (if she's filming).
Evenings
For dinner, Gadot tells Good Housekeeping, "I love all different kinds of fish, but my latest obsession is Chilean sea bass, and I also like chicken and filet steak." She is obsessed with salads; no meal is complete without one smothered in olive oil or Greek yogurt with lots of herbs and spices.
Unsurprisingly, given her Israeli upbringing, Gadot follows a Mediterranean diet and loves to cook. Staple foods in her kitchen include olive oil, simple, cheap vinegar, Greek yogurt, oat milk, and fruits and veggies.
Gadot gets her kids to bed after dinner, then winds down with a long shower and meditation. "I will do my whole beauty routine of all the different things that I wear before I go to bed, serums and stuff like that," Gadot told Self.
With her skincare routine done, she spends the evening sharing a glass of wine with her husband before heading to bed.
