Usain Bolt is a name that needs no introduction. The Jamaican sprinter is not only the fastest man alive but also the fastest man in recorded history.
His impressive feats on the track have earned him numerous accolades, including eight Olympic gold medals and the title of the "World's Fastest Man."
But Bolt's success and wealth didn't come overnight. It required hard work, dedication, and a strict daily routine.
Inside a day in the life of Usain Bolt
- Usain Bolt's daily routine gets off to a slow start. He is not an early riser.
- He focuses on healthy eating, consistent training, and adequate rest.
- Bolt trains for 90 minutes in the afternoon with the mentality of never wanting to come in second place.
Surprisingly, Bolt is a late riser. He has often talked about his struggle to get to sleep early. So, to ensure he gets his solid eight hours of sleep, he wakes up at 10 a.m.
His day starts with an egg sandwich and green bananas, prepared by his personal cook, who helps him maintain a healthy diet.
After breakfast, it's time for weight training at 11 a.m. Bolt revealed in an interview with GQ that he tries “... not to eat too much up to a workout, but I stay hydrated. I drink Gatorade throughout the day because it’s so hot in Jamaica.”
At 1 p.m., the fastest man in the world consumes just enough food to have energy for his workouts and to ensure rapid digestion and downs a modest lunch of pasta, corned beef, or a piece of fish. During the day, he focuses on training.
He follows a 90-minute workout routine designed to maintain a lean physique, including exercises like hamstring curls and leg extensions. Bolt is committed to consistent training and believes that building a better body is always possible with dedication.
Bolt said he trains with the mentality of never wanting to come in second place. He admitted, “I think about chicks, going to the beach, and looking good. I do it for the girls.”
At 6 p.m., Bolt indulges in a larger meal, including broccoli, yams, chicken, pork or other meat, Jamaican dumplings, and rice. His favorite food craving is hot wings.
After a strenuous training day, he unwinds by spending time with friends, playing video games, or going out on the town.
